About
Meet the Practitioner Dayna Henry
I’m a mother of three and a passionate health professional with over a decade of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Also currently working as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in Child Development Services, I have qualifications in Physiotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Clinical Pilates. I’ve long been drawn to understanding how we can heal more deeply. But it wasn’t until my own life changed drastically that my approach evolved into what Recalibrate is today.
From Clinician to Patient: A Life‑Altering Perspective
In 2022, I suffered a stroke. Experiencing the healthcare system from the other side, I saw firsthand the importance of being treated as a person, not just a condition. This, along with supporting both of my parents through their cancer journeys, reinforced my belief in holistic, compassionate care.
A Holistic Health Model Based on Te Whare Tapa Whā
I practise from the belief that wellbeing is multidimensional, encompassing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. Te Whare Tapa Whā, a Māori health model, provides the foundation for every treatment I offer. Here, you’re seen and supported in your entirety, not just your symptoms.
When I’m not in clinic, you’ll find me in the bush, on the beach, or chasing waves as a beginner surfer. I value movement, balance, and connection, and I bring that into the care I offer my clients.
Ready to Work Together?
Your healing journey is unique, and so is the care you'll receive here. If you're ready to be truly heard, supported, and empowered, I'd love to meet you.
